MISSION OF THE GARFIELD HIGH SCHOOL FOUNDATION
To gather the hearty support of all of its constituencies, and provide Garfield High School with sustainable funding and resources that will assure and advance student achievement and school programs.

We envision Garfield High School, an outstanding learning environment historically rich in cultural diversity and academic excellence, achieving the best results for every single student.

THE GARFIELD HIGH SCHOOL FOUNDATION
For the past year and a half, a group of Garfield alumni, parents, staff and community members have been working toward the development of the Garfield High School Foundation. Schools such as Garfield High School face increasing financial pressures. While many of us wish that local, state and federal funding provided for the needs of all public school students, the reality is that public dollars are simply not adequate.

OUR VISION
The Garfield Foundation will build and perpetuate a legacy of excellence in all areas of the school through the establishment of an endowment fund. We believe that all children deserve a quality education. Building this fund will enrich the school and community, in addition to creating a plan for excellence that outlasts any individual program or administration. It will be directed by an independent Foundation board and financially administered by the Alliance for Education.
